Ties that Bind

I doubt that it's just me that can't stand to look at people wearing shirts and ties at unnessesary times. This is not a rant, just an observation of something I think is dumb.

Lets pose two examples of guys who try to hard to look nice: 1) The guy who wares his sunday's to school. I think some people do it because of work. That is legitament. Whoever, on the other hand, I think there are others that do it to make people think they are important and have a cool job. I remember one kid, went by the name Bolter (as if he was lightning fast). Bolter often time wore a tie to class with a pastel blue or metalic red shirt. I guess I just figured it was for work. I later saw his place of employment; J.C.W's burger place in American Fork.

2) The other night I was at Tepankaki. I sat at a table with 8 people total. There was a kid on a date with a girl who looked too young for him (honestly 14 years old). She was dressed in casual street cloths, He in another one of those rediculously colored blue shirt and a tie of a slightly darker shade of blue. Why was he so dressed up when she wasn't? they had not been at the symphony or anywhere else of class? He just wanted to make a good impression I guess, but I honestly thought 'what a tool'.

So I guess what I'm getting at, if you wear a shirt and tie for no good reason, chances are I'm going to hate you!
